Motivation

I think atlast I have found some motivation to post regularly on the blog. I have found this beautiful font there which makes me to write more and more, so i think i will be able to do that in hostel more regularly... I think it's enough for now as I'm in the university right now :)

Today in History!

1990
The cricket world received its first introduction to the deadliest old-ball partnership of them all. Waqar Younis and Wasim Akram shared 10 wickets in a Test for the first time, taking 15 in all as Pakistan thrashed New Zealand by an innings and 43 runs in Karachi - and 11 of the 15 were out lbw or bowled. It started a run in which Wasim and Waqar took 10 or more wickets between them in 18 of the 24 Tests that they played in together between 1990 and 1994.

1999
A tie in the day-nighter between Pakistan and Sri Lanka in Sharjah, but only after a remarkable collapse from the Lankans. When Romesh Kaluwitharana and Russel Arnold took them to 157 for 1, they needed only 40 off 15 overs, but that was when Abdul Razzaq started swinging the ball. He had Kaluwitharana caught behind and then returned at the death to take 4 for 0 in 8 balls - the last three were all bowled. Sri Lanka lost their last eight wickets for 23 runs in nine sorry overs.

Poem in Smash! :)

Yesterday I went for a walk in the park, it had been a normal routine day with all the more boring lectures to attend and the tensed hostel life. I was feeling relax after the walk and went to the book shop to take the Smash magazine. I didn't went through the magazine at that time as I was a little tired so came back to the hostel immediately. I had been out of touch with my dearest dearest for some days now, although we talked in the day but I didn't know what happened and I started missing her alot ... so much that " Aansu he nikal aay" :( ....

I  messaged her and started reading the magazine. As I was going through the magazine I was amazed to see the poem, which my dearest dearest wrote for me published in the magazine. It was really a nice experience and feeling :) :) .... Adding icing on the cake I got a call from my Jaanu :)

Bad Luck!

From the past few days I have been planning as usual to post on the blog but as usual I was no getting time to post anything. I’ve been trying to find the perfect atmosphere to write something as there is something going around all the time with me. I had to submit the report for our project and the circuit for the same robot as well. It took me full 24 hours to find the material for the report and I’m sure the material I found was irrelevant. There was nothing of much notice for the “Line tracking robot” so I had to fill the report with bogus articles collected from different sites. It was yesterday on 10th October, 2009 when we had to submit the report with the demo of the circuit we made. Things were going really well, an hour before the start of the demonstration, the circuit was working properly, the report was on course, but around 10 minutes before the start of the presentation things started to go wrong. The report we had made was still to be printed out. As we were already getting late for the demo so we sent one of our class fellows with the USB so that he take out the print outs and hand us over, but by the look of things I get a hint that he copied our report, I’m not so sure about it but the way things have gone It looks that it will be a copy case. On the other hand, our circuit that was working so properly didn’t work during the demo … we were given another chance and we made some changes and made it to work properly but it again refused to work in front of our teacher. The reason we found out was that we had set the voltage to 5V and the board that our teacher had during presentation was set at 6V, well we had worked so hard for both of our report and circuit and we were all really disappointed. Adding insult to injury we were told by our sir that “ We are a copy case, and we had copied all the project of another group, including the design, drawing etc” It was so demoralizing to hear that, we had worked so hard for everything up till now … I’m sure now that cheating, making some variations and getting full marks is loads better than working hard, being sincere and getting a zero :) …. But at the same time I will say that it was no one’s fault, it’s just that luck is not on our side!

A Mix Weekend (2)

Here is the other part of the weekend which was on the sad side to be honest. My dearest dearest had to visit her village on Saturday morning and we had to talk on Friday night. But we couldn’t because my cellfone was not working properly. I started missing her a lot. Thanks to her that we kept in touch through sms and there were signals in the village. The happy thing was that I regularly got to know about her as I was really worried about her :) And I also want to tell you Dearest dearest that I don’t mind your anything and Its always my Farz! :)

A Mix Weekend (1)

This week was a bag of mix for me ... This week's Saturday was on and we had to follow the schedule of Thursday which was the toughest day of the University as I don't have even a single hour free. But thankfully Our Analog Lab, which was of three hours got cancelled. My cousin who got admission in the National University of Sciences and Technology for MS had taken a flat and We ( Me, My room mate and His friend ) had to go to his place for shifting. We arrived with half of the luggage in the car and four people, after reaching there Me and my cousin came back to my hostel and another place to collect the remaining and reached his flat in the evening. The fun started now ..... We didn't even have a single place to sit, the flat needed lots of cleaning and dusting, we didn't have fresh water to drink and nothing to drink. I mopped the flat and then my cousin washed it and it took us almost 4 hours to complete this tough task. The other two guests there made loads noise and hit each other with jokes which indeed was a lot of fun. Later at night we went to the Savour food and had a really enjoyable dinner after loads of hard work. The next day was even tiring when we had to wash the terrace and nothing to take water there. We had a late breakfast and the later half was passed watching movies and listening to songs and dancing! :p We really enjoyed here a lot as there was more space for us to enjoy than our one room in the hostel. It felt home like with houses around you and noise of people, unlike Islamabad which is more of a silent and people not even knowing who their neighbours are ... Well this was the happy part of the week ..... !

After a Fortnight!

I'm posting again after a fortnight ... It was eid time and I went home on the 17th of September. Eid went just normal, it could have been fun but the hot weather and load shedding plus another factor almost ruined it for me. The thing I like about and wait for is the relaxation I get when I go back home. Leaving behind all the tentions of hostel life and Islamabad It gives a soothing change. Ummm I've got to go, I will post further details later as I 've got a lecture right now! :)
