For once we were Pakistan!

Such has been the last fortnight that It is very difficult for me to pin one specific word to all the events. There has been happiness and loads of it, there has been shock and anger, there has been sadness, there has been tension, there has been nervousness, in fact everything.
First things first though. It was so shocking to see police and it was tough whatever happened after that. Although I knew what had been going around without any proof though but whatever happened was a shame and a bad example and the Incident towards which I'm referring to, brought me the worst days of my life in Islamabad. Things had got so out of hand that at one point if my family members did not come to Islamabad, I had planned to go back to Multan even though I had my mid term exams the following week. There is a lot to talk about this incident and I can go on but its best that I don't remember it much.
My Mid term exams hat finished today and they passed in a strange way. Two papers on the first day, one in the middle of the week exactly on the day the semi final was going to be played, and two papers on Friday without any gap. All that had been going on before that I think I have done a fair job, lets hope for a good result. I'm planning to go back home next week InshaAllah and also to change the apartment as soon as possible.
And about that with "them"... I don't know whats in the mind and why, ohh why do they change their behavior back to normal when everything just starts to go back to normal. Its really sad and frustrating for me as I really try my best but don't get any support when its needed. This I have been telling that, worse things end quickly and that we have to work hard to get things better but I guess they will never understand.
I really have been planning to write a lot of things and have a lot of ideas to work on and hopefully I will get the time to do so as the exams have finished. Its been a while that I saw any good movie and perhaps today I will do so as I still got a good collection of movies left that I haven't seen uptill now.
The good thing was that Pakistan beat Australia in their last group match quite convincingly and topped their group. They faced West Indies in the quarter Final and literally thrashed them to progress to the semi final. It had made me so happy. I have been following Pakistani team for a long time now and never have I seen this unity and consistency in the team. Pakistan played really well throughout this tournament and made everyone of us proud.
The Semi Final match was with India and although Pakistan lost the match after a close fight, no regrets for that as we had played magnificently up till now in the tournament, no one can imagine the hype that was created. It was just sensational to say the least. You could see it on TV, you could see it on the streets, you could read it in media, you could sense it within your hearts. It was called the "Mother Of all Matches". Indian Prime Minister invited Pakistani Prime Minister to the match. People were unable to get the tickets even at high cost. Here in Pakistan there were people praying for our team all day long, Most of the school and colleges were closed. It was a local holiday in the Sindh Province and a half day all over Pakistan. Young people had painted their faces were rallying within the cities, big screens were put everywhere. In our University students had almost planned a strike due to the match and were not sitting in the examination hall. Everyone was worried about the match, most students left the hall half way through the exam and now cutting it short, THE PAKISTANI NATION WAS UNITED FOR ONCE! there were no Sindhi, Punjabi, Balochi or Pathan today, everyone was a Pakistani, a Proud Pakistani!
